Get The Point!

Read Galatian 2:11-21

knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ(Galatian 2:16).

One thing you could say about Paul is that he didn't hesitate to speak words. No matter who he dealing with - judges, ruler, or other apostle, Peter - Paul speak of what is need to be said. in Galatian 2:16, three times he spoke of the same truth : no man is justified by the works of the law.

The law is very important matter in time of first curch because the majority of followers of Jesus is jews. Altought they believe in Jesus, some of them are not willing to leave the works of the law. I imagine them saying "a man cannot be saved unless he is circumcised and refuse to eat food being offered to other god. and no jews are alowed to eat together with non-jews." But paul said explicitly that they're wrong. Reconciled to God is the result of faith, not prerequirement added by curch or someone.

As the creator of confusion, satan finds all kind of way to disgrace the gospel by giving an impression that faith alone is not enough. satan toying our desire so that we take control and do something to save ourself - adding anything, from always go to curch, dressing style to the choice of entertainment allowed. each of this is important to Christian, but none of them are important for salvation.

The point is : Salvation is by faith.

Redemption : our offense is cleansed; the gift of Christ given to us

HE speak to us!

In our life theres three kind of voices we often heard :
- Our voice : comes from our mind, analitycal, need consideration
- GOD voice : from our heart, more spontaneous and complete, beyond our consideration, doesn't make sense sometime (rome 8 : 14 - 16)
- Satan voice : intimidating, provocative, made us doubt GOD's words (Genesis 3)

Characteristic of GOD's voice :
- Emerge from our heart where the Holy Spirit reside within us
- Spontaneous, fresh, not analitycal
- Soft and Light that often we didn't hear it when we are focusing on something else
- Contain a message, a specific lesson for us
- Contain good thought, wiser, deeper than our thought (Isaiah 55:9)
- Contain authority, power, wisdom, like when a king of all king speak to us
- if we do as GOD say, we will feel peace and happiness

GOD speak in many ways, some are :
- vision (Genesis 15:1, Numbers 12:6, Jobs 33:14-15)
- within our heart, in our spirit (Deuteronomy 30:14)
- Through other people around us (2 Samuel 23:2, Hosea 1:2)
- Through our situation
- as an audible voice (1 samuel 3)
- through Holy Bible, when we read the Holy Bible some verse just "pop out" from the Bible and we know that GOD is speaking to us.
