Your Worship for Him

Then Mary took three quarters of a pound of expensive aromatic oil from pure nard and anointed the feet of Jesus. She then wiped his feet dry with her hair. (Now the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfumed oil.) But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (the one who was going to betray him) said, “Why wasn’t this oil sold for three hundred silver coins and the money given to the poor?” (Now Judas said this not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief. As keeper of the money box, he used to steal what was put into it.) John 12:3-6

One month salary is not very small amount. You can use to buy rice, paying electricity, your children school fees, or other purposes. When you give your one month's salary to someone else is a heavy thing, moreover when you give your one year’s salary!

However Mary gave all that she had for Jesus. It was one year salary, a perfume that was very expensive, was used to anoint Jesus' feet. Usually, expensive oil was stored and used when a person died, to anoint the body but she poured it on Jesus feet. Maria gave it generously, willingly, and abundantly. She did not give because Jesus was poor and needed the money, but she gave because she wanted to worship Jesus.

Your giving is your worship to Him. So, it is not wrong when people say that your generosity is comparable to the way your perspective of God. How big is your perspective of God, for it also you dare to worship Him with your gifts.

Generosity is comparable to your perspective of God
