Feeling Useless? You Are Worthy in GOD's eyes

There are times in my life that I felt like a piece of garbage, useless, only make things worse. Even the slightest negative comment from a close friend can make it worse, make me feeling more useless. Fail is common in human life, but when this failure affect people I love, I grew insecure and inferior. This is a very unpleasant experience, a very heart-aching feelings.

Often when I feel I'm useless, it so easy to make a bad decision like ending my life by consuming too much sleep pills. It seems that death is more pleasant than bear this feeling. This problem will end when death come. Then suddenly, I remember how God love me, He had sacrifice Himself for me, how can I ended my life when God had died for me to live? I'm worthy in HIS eyes, so worthy that HE gave His most precious to save me from sin and death.

My live is not mine anymore, it belong to GOD for HE had pay the price when He died in the cross. No matter how imperfect I am, no matter how many flaws I had, He still love me, I am precious and worthy in HIS eyes. GOD's love is the source of strength that I ever needed, even if live seems so much hard to bear, even if there's so many problem, I always know that God will help me. everyday walking with HIM is sweeter than anything in this world, and I will be forever grateful for His love for me.

Help other with sincere heart

Today I realize how often I already help other people in my life. and when I recall that feeling after I help them, it was a very happy and joyful feeling. and I began to wonder, why I felt that way? I did get tired and at some point people would see that I'm being used, but why I feel joy?

Then I found out that my heart is satisfied by helping other, because love. love need to be shown to other, when I share my love and help them with sincere heart, my love grows more. and I realize when I love other, GOD will love me more. and that joyful feeling is GOD gift for me for being sincere and share my love.

Now I strive to help more people as often as I can, because I crave for that joy and contempt feeling, and more importantly I crave for GOD love to me. although people would say that I loved to be used, I don't care, I know what I feel, I know what I get, and I think I get many benefit from it. God Bless Us. Amin

As God Forgive me, I shall forgive other

Being accused of something I never did was a hurtful experience, it cut deep into my heart like a blunt knife. He never knew how hurt I am because of what he said to me, he never knew how hurt it is to be accused wrongfully. Feeling hurt, my instinct react to be angry and take revenge, but God speak to my heart, He calm me down and say : "For I have forgive you, so you shall forgive him". I cried at that very moment, I know so many times I hurt God's heart, so many times I yell at HIM and say something bad to HIM, but HE forgiven me . . . This love I felt inside me is stronger than the scar in my heart, stronger than my instinct. I learn a lesson that moment, that I should forgive no matter how hurt I am, because GOD had forgiven me too.

Love is strong, love can cover all hurt feeling and change that into joy, love never fail. Where can we get that love? of course in GOD, the main source of love, unconditional love that is. Go get near to GOD, and HE will give peace and joy in your heart so that you can forgive even the most cruel thing other had done to you. Only God truly know how we feels, and only God had the cure for all our pain.

Rhema V.S Logos

In christian life there are two way we can see the scripture. one is the written words of God logos and the words of God spoken specifically for each unique christian called rhema. this two may seems alike because all is the words of God, but it has a very different impact in christian life.

Rhema
God can speak to us in many different ways, sometimes He speaks to all His people at once, but sometimes He speaks specifically to one unique individual. This is what is called a rhema, word of God specifically spoken to one unique individual, He speak differently for each and every one of us. This happen not so often, sometimes to remind us about some error in our way, sometimes to comfort us when we had great burden, sometimes He just wanted to show us that He loves us. We can only hear this rhema when we had a very close relation with God Himself.

Logos
This is the written word of God in Holy Bible. It contain general rule to life as a christian, it is not specifically directed for one individual life, but for all christian in general. while this is not as significant as rhema, we still need logos to know God more, and when we knew Him deeper then we will hear His rhema. Logos is the basic knowledge we need as a christian while rhema is on a advance spiritual level.

Each day we need to hear God speak to us in logos or in rhema, to really life as a christian that please God's heart. because His word is the only guidance we could really rely on in this world. Without His guidance, we will lost and will eventually fall in the cliff of hell.

Temptation today

Every single day walking with Jesus is a challenge on itself. To be rightful in front of God, to please His heart, there are many rules to obey. God says that temptation will come, but He promise to help us to win against that temptation.

Today is no different with other day I lived my life, many old and new temptation came to me. I struggle not to fall to commit sin, I pray to God that He would help me to overcome this temptation, particularly this masturbation and porn temptation. Because of my job on internet, I expose myself each and everyday to the source of information (whether it's a good or damaging material). being online means that I could easily access porn and do masturbation. I struggle, I pray, I listen to gospel music, read the holy bible to overcome this temptation, I hope that this will make me forget about that explicit sexual material and those dirty mind of mine.

But today I won again because God always there for me, He remind me of how He love me and how He wanted me to grow greater in His eyes, therefore I must abandon this dirty hobby of mine (porn and masturbation). God's love me and He didn't want me to love other things beside Him. if porn get in the way of my relationship with God, than I must get rid of it.

God demand our full love, not partial. He wanted us to love Him with all of our heart, with all of our mind and body. I'm glad that I can satisfy His love by listening to His word, praise and worship Him trough songs and doing good things toward other people. It's more joyful to be in His presence than anywhere else, more satisfying than sexual impurity.

Are You a Generous?

Ask yourself these following questions, this could be an indication if you are generous enough. • Do you see God as the owner of the property and your existence? • Do you perceive yourself as the treasurer of God? • Have you dedicated all you have to God: money, property, health, time, family and the ability/skill? • How often do you sacrifice for the sake of others? • Do you honor God by giving a decent part for Him, and not just give 'tips'? • Do you easily give time to see someone in need? Generosity is the result of focus on the wealth of God and not on our resources.

3 Great Motivation to Stay Focus Living as Disciple of Jesus (Christian)

Do you remember the feelings when you first became a Christian? Life seems so beautiful, so happy, you are so spirited and passionate to do GOD’s will, feels like there is nothing on earth could make you stop loving GOD. But as time gone by, we often forget those feeling of first love toward GOD. Maybe we get bored to do what the Holy Bible commanded us to do, maybe we no longer feels GOD’s love for us, maybe we are persecuted, etc. Many things can take away those ‘first love’ we had.
Strong motivation are needed to stay focus as a Christian, it can make us strong to bear the burden of this world, it helps us to focus on GOD, not the trouble we had. Here are 5 motivation that keep me strong as a Christian :

1. Love, Faith, and Hope

1 Corinthians 13 : 8
“Love never fails. Now if there are prophecies, they will be done away with. If there are tongues, they will cease. If there is knowledge, it will be done away with.”

1 Corinthians 13 : 13
“Right now three things remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

Love is the strongest motivation there is, when we love someone we will do everythings for him/her, we will endure everything that come in our way. Love is the main reason GOD created us, GOD had proven how much HE love us by sacrificing HIS only son (John 3 : 16). When we love GOD – for GOD had love us first – we will do everything to please HIS heart, nothing can stop us loving GOD.

So does faith and hope, when we have faith in Jesus we will do what HE said no matter what, even when what HE tolds us to do sometimes doesn’t make sense at all, but we had faith that Jesus would never plan something bad in our life (jeremiah 29 : 11). Hope is something we expect to get when we do something, hope will keep us doing things even if we don’t see the result yet.

2. Gratefull for GOD’s grace

1 Thessalonians 5 : 18
“In everything be thankful, because this is God's will in Christ Jesus for you.”

GOD always love us no matter what, HE gave us life, air to breathe, health, food, friend, every good things in our live. Be thankful for HIS love and what He gave to us. Imagine if GOD doesn’t give us air to breathe anymore, we would have died. Our life should be a proof that we are thankful to GOD (by doing good things according to GOD’s will). That way we will stay focus doing what the Holy Bible commanded us to do, for GOD too stay focus giving us everything we need to stay alive.

3. You’re not alone

1 Peter 5 : 9
“Resist him and be firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kinds of suffering.”

Loneliness can kill even the most motivated person, but knowing that we’re not alone in doing what Jesus want in our life makes us strong to bear the tide of this world. Even more, together we can learn and do a lot more than doing things alone, 1 horse can pull 2500 pounds but 2 horse can pull 13500 pounds.

Hebrews 10 : 24 – 25
“And let us continue to consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another even more as you see the day coming nearer.”

Together we are strong because we ecourage and help each other to be strong in Christ. We always have someone to remind us how GOD’s love us, to help us in hard time, to pray for us.

Why GOD matters

This is the book I always wanted to read, when I'm alone, thinking about GOD influence in my life, sometimes I cannot feels HIM. This book helps to cover those anxiety about GOD by describing how we can really feels GOD in our daily live.

The reason Christian live can be boring and useless for me it's because of lack of intimate relationship with GOD, without really connecting with HIM what I do seems to be useless, nonsense. But when we see GOD in our daily live, everything we do does matters.

GOD does matters, without HIM I don't want to live anymore.

Facebook And The Bible

Facebook is a social-network website that enable many people to connect to millions of people around the globe. With just an internet connection everyone can meet many new friends, get connected to old friends and acquintances, share their feelings, comment on others post, search people with the same hobby / college / place, play games, etc. Facebook became so popular by it's many uses and many feature it provide.

While facebook serve many purpose, it depends on us what we use facebook for. Every things is like a two side of a coin, it can have a positive effect and negative effect, we could use it for a good purpose or an evil one. So what are those positive and negative side of facebook according to the Holy Bible?

Positive Aspect of Facebook

Matthew 28 : 18 – 20
“Then Jesus came up and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, as you go, disciple all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you each and every day until the end of the age."

Jesus commanded us to tell all the nations about HIM and teaching them to obey HIS word. Our love to Jesus urge us to tell others all we know about HIM and HIS love, while we can use the traditional method to do this, facebook seems to be a great way for us to share HIS love to many people around the world. We could post our thought about Jesus in facebook and let other to comment about it and if they are interested we can tell more about Jesus to them. If we see someone post about his/her problem, we could give advice according to what the Holy Bible say. People love positive encouragement, and if it comes from the Holy Bible, they will have interest in studying it further.

Hebrews 3 : 13
“Instead, continue to encourage one another every day, as long as it is called "Today," so that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.”

Everyday we struggle to defends ourself from the evil and sin, for satan always wait for the opportunity to devour us (1 peter 5 : 8). By encouraging one another, we will be united together to fight satan. Facebook alow us to see others feeling trough what they share in it, therefore we can use it to encourage those in need. We can’t always be around someone for 24/7 physically, but facebook makes it possible to stay connected 24/7 to see what our friends feels at any moment and if for example someone feels desperate and try to commit suicide we will know it first hand and develop a way to help him/her.

Negative Aspect of Facebook

Matthew 10 : 37
"The one who loves his father or mother more than me isn't worthy of me, and the one who loves a son or daughter more than me isn't worthy of me.”

To be a real disciple of Jesus Christ, to be a real Christian, we must love our GOD above anything else, even more than love for family and close friends. Facebook can easily consume our time and attention for it’s many feature (games, apps, etc) it could be even more popular to us than GOD. People could love facebook more than GOD. Can we spend hours to hear GOD’s word through the Holy Bible? We sure can spend hours using facebook. Do we have time to pray to GOD and worship HIM? We sure always have the time to access facebook.

Act 2 : 46
“They had a single purpose and went to the temple every day. They ate at each other's homes and shared their food with glad and humble hearts.”

Hebrews 10 : 25
“not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another even more as you see the day coming nearer.”

Become the disciple of Jesus is the way of life, not just knowledge or theory about Jesus. Jesus teach us to be united together in community with one standard : the Holy Bible. We are encouraged to meet and spent time being together physicaly either in each other’s home or in a church or anywhere else. Facebook can replace this real meeting with a virtual one. Many had more comfort share in facebook than to meet directly in person. This virtual relationship draw away the emotion involved when we meet in person, how can we love each other when there is no emotion involved? The love we had would have been fake, unreal.

Conclusion

As with other technology in our life, they where invented in a positive way of thinking, never had the inventor had the intention to make it destructive to our live. But the outcome of all thecnology depends on who use it and for what, even the Holy Bible can be bad if used in negative way.

Facebook can make our live better or worst, it depends on how we use it and for what purpose. It could be a tool to preach the gospel to all nations, or it could steal our love toward GOD. It could connect us with friends and family, or it could make us away from them by too much playing it’s games and apps. Either way, be wise using facebook for GOD could use it and so does the devil.

I Just Need Him!

Life is inseparable with various obstacles and temptations, whether it comes from family, work, or relationships with others. God intentionally permit the exam in your life so you can learn through it and immediately going to the next level so that your character becomes more like him.

You might have just received troubling news, and it makes you think how to survive. You will find the answer on the strength of God's power. The tendency to think that you must finish everything with your own strength is not quite right. God wants you to be actively involved in every problem-solving process, and His passion is our awareness to life and relies only on God (Psalm 46:2-4).

How we find a way out in a chaotic world? Start with the Lord, take time to pray and seek Him, believe that only HIM can make us survive and come out as a winner in the difficult times, even deal with the days ahead.

Find Out Your Purpose!

If you want to find out what God’s will in your life, you first need to know why God created you. When you try to interpret the purpose of your life before understanding why you were created, then inevitably you will depend only on the fulfillment of basic necessities of life. Obviously this thing will only lead you to frustration and disappointment.

Fist and the foremost is, God created you so that you know Him and so you have an intimate relationship with Him. In fact, the Bible wrote, if one wants to brag about anything in his life, let him “brag of this and this only: That he understands and knows Me” (Jeremiah 9:24). Truly, the relationship between God and man has been missing since Adam and Eve fell into sin. Even so, the death of Jesus on the cross enables us to recapture an intimate relationship with God. The Apostle Paul understood the importance of an intimate relationship between men and God, “I gave up all that inferior stuff so I could know the Christ personally, experience his resurrection power, be a partner in his suffering, and go all the way with him to death itself.” (Philippians 3:10, The Message)

Build relationship with God is a very important point in understanding your purpose. If you do not have fellowship with Jesus, you’ll find your purpose just to satisfy your desires with the wrong motivation such as pride, money, etc. God wants you motivated to love Him and also want to praise Him in all your actions. When you build your relationship with God, He will begin to state His purpose on you. “Because I know all of My plans for you”, glorified the name of God!

Today, ask God to help you find out your purpose.

Amin

Defective Brake

The panic situation was over people in town. A great and terrible fire had burned down the entire shopping complex.

Suddenly, a truck contained the farmers moved so fast down the slope and towards the flames. The crowd ran to the back when the truck was moved into the flames. The farmer jumped out and put out the fire with a wet cloth. Miraculously, the fire had gone out That city officer felt amazed by the heroic act of that person and they gave him a appreciation and cash of $ 1,000. During the press conference, a reporter asked him what he would do with the money he earned. Without waiting any longer, he replied, "Obviously, the first thing I would do is fix my truck’s defective brake."

If some people feel that "the defective break" has destroyed the dreams and their future, they will never see an opportunity in their lives. The opportunity appears often, when we do not give up with all the challenges and obstacles in life. Having a truck with defective brake is still better than not having a truck. Value each asset that you have. Today, your challenge could be changed into your stepping stones

Your Worship for Him

Then Mary took three quarters of a pound of expensive aromatic oil from pure nard and anointed the feet of Jesus. She then wiped his feet dry with her hair. (Now the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfumed oil.) But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (the one who was going to betray him) said, “Why wasn’t this oil sold for three hundred silver coins and the money given to the poor?” (Now Judas said this not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief. As keeper of the money box, he used to steal what was put into it.) John 12:3-6

One month salary is not very small amount. You can use to buy rice, paying electricity, your children school fees, or other purposes. When you give your one month's salary to someone else is a heavy thing, moreover when you give your one year’s salary!

However Mary gave all that she had for Jesus. It was one year salary, a perfume that was very expensive, was used to anoint Jesus' feet. Usually, expensive oil was stored and used when a person died, to anoint the body but she poured it on Jesus feet. Maria gave it generously, willingly, and abundantly. She did not give because Jesus was poor and needed the money, but she gave because she wanted to worship Jesus.

Your giving is your worship to Him. So, it is not wrong when people say that your generosity is comparable to the way your perspective of God. How big is your perspective of God, for it also you dare to worship Him with your gifts.

Generosity is comparable to your perspective of God

Road to Blessings

Matthew 5:7 “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” Deuteronomy 24:19 ”Whenever you reap your harvest in your field and leave some unranked grain there, you must not return to get it; it should go to the resident foreigner, orphan, and widow so that the Lord your God may bless all the work you do.”

Isaiah 58:7-11 ”I want you to share your food with the hungry and to provide shelter for homeless, oppressed people. When you see someone naked, clothe him! Don’t turn your back on your own flesh and blood!. Then your light will shine like the sunrise; your restoration will quickly arrive; your godly behavior will go before you, and the Lord’s splendor will be your rear guard. Then you will call out, and the Lord will respond; you will cry out, and he will reply, ‘Here I am. You must remove the burdensome yoke from among you and stop pointing fingers and speaking sinfully. You must actively help the hungry and feed the oppressed. Then your light will dispel the darkness, and your darkness will be transformed into noonday. The Lord will continually lead you; he will feed you even in parched regions. He will give you renewed strength, and you will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring that continually produces water.”

Believe it or not, research shows that the generous people seldom have problems mentally and emotionally. Because those kinds of people have lives focused on others, so they do not think too much about themselves, their shortcomings, failures, and weaknesses. So, generosity is not only useful for others, but also for you! In addition, those generous people are eligible for the promise of God:

• You are restored, healed (Isaiah 58:8)
• God answers your prayer (Isaiah 58:9)
• You are guided by the Lord (Isaiah 58:11)
• Your heart be satisfied (Isaiah 58:11)
• Your Strength is renewed (Isaiah 58:11)
• Obtain mercy (Matthew 5:7)
• Blessed in all our work (Deuteronomy 24:19)

A Healthy Mind

Each of us is blessed with a healthy mind by Our God. However, most of the time the situation around us often put unhealthy things in our minds. For we can always have a healthy mind, Romans 12:2 says: Do not be conformed to this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what is the will of God what is good and well pleasing and perfect.

Being smart is not enough for you and me; we also need to be more prudent. In the Proverbs there are 3 words that we are recommended to have always, namely knowledge, understanding and wisdom. Acquire knowledge is to obtain information about everything in this life. Understanding is how we analyze the information. While wisdom is how we solve problems that occur with the information that we have understood in advance. We need to ask for wisdom from God always, so we can solve the issue after issue in this life.

How we can get the wisdom of God? We must first experience the renewal of our minds, so that we can discern the will of God and what is not, to discriminate the perfect one and what is not, and what is not. How can we renew our minds? That is by loving the Word of God. The Word of God that will clean not only the heart but also our common sense. The Word of God is not only knowledge but we need to understand and apply in solving our problems in this life.

Are you willing to clean your mind by the Word of God? If you have common sense or in other words, the wisdom from God, then you have nothing to fear when facing a problem, because you will find the best solution in accordance with the will of God and the wisdom from God will lead you from success to success.

Empty Promises

There are a lot of promises offered by the world through advertising in mass media that promise happiness, wealth, fame, and others. However, soon we will realize that all these promises are empty promises. But our God is different. God brought 3 “empty promises” by the events of Easter, but soon we will know that the “empty promises” will bring the blessings in our lives. What “empty promises” God has given and fulfilled in our lives through Easter?

1. The empty cross
It indicates that our sins had been already forgiven. When Jesus cried out, “It is finished” Jesus had paid the penalty for our sins. He had replaced the punishment for us, so we do not have to endure such punishment. On the cross alone, Jesus presented a perfect sacrifice for us, so that we might obtain the blessing of forgiveness of sins.

2. The empty tomb
It indicates that Jesus had risen and victorious over death and give us the blessing of eternal life. Death has been defeated, so that death is no power over us. The empty tomb gives assurance of eternal life.

3. Empty shroud
Jesus left the death cloth stained with blood and replaced it with new clothes and then went to meet His disciples and allied with them. That He did the first time after he had risen. This indicates that by sloughing the cloth off, we again have the blessing of the new fellowship in Jesus, because that is what Jesus longs for.

Today, how do you respond to the three promises? Believe only in Him, because we have our faithful God who loves us.
