Find Out Your Purpose!

If you want to find out what God’s will in your life, you first need to know why God created you. When you try to interpret the purpose of your life before understanding why you were created, then inevitably you will depend only on the fulfillment of basic necessities of life. Obviously this thing will only lead you to frustration and disappointment.

Fist and the foremost is, God created you so that you know Him and so you have an intimate relationship with Him. In fact, the Bible wrote, if one wants to brag about anything in his life, let him “brag of this and this only: That he understands and knows Me” (Jeremiah 9:24). Truly, the relationship between God and man has been missing since Adam and Eve fell into sin. Even so, the death of Jesus on the cross enables us to recapture an intimate relationship with God. The Apostle Paul understood the importance of an intimate relationship between men and God, “I gave up all that inferior stuff so I could know the Christ personally, experience his resurrection power, be a partner in his suffering, and go all the way with him to death itself.” (Philippians 3:10, The Message)

Build relationship with God is a very important point in understanding your purpose. If you do not have fellowship with Jesus, you’ll find your purpose just to satisfy your desires with the wrong motivation such as pride, money, etc. God wants you motivated to love Him and also want to praise Him in all your actions. When you build your relationship with God, He will begin to state His purpose on you. “Because I know all of My plans for you”, glorified the name of God!

Today, ask God to help you find out your purpose.
